We are all more than one thing, aren't we? But for some strange reason we prefer our brains be lazy. We insist on putting a single label on people/ideas/things,etc or we insist on summarizing these people/things by putting them all in one box, rather than see their complexities and contradictions (which takes energy, time, trust and openness). We do ourselves great injustices by allowing our brains (and hearts) to be lazy. Loved your bio!
Thanks, Jamie! I agree-- it's often the easy way out to shut down complexity and contradiction . . .
